Frank C. Mars came up with the idea for M&Ms candy in the 1930s during the Spanish Civil War after witnessing soldiers eating unusual chocolate pellets. Unlike normal chocolate, these had a hard outer shell surrounding the inside, which prevented the candies from melting. He thought this was a brilliant idea, and went on to patent his own version of the treats, which came to be called M&Ms.
This spunky yellow shirt features old school M&M characters and the original tagline inspired by the candies that started it all -- "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand." The writing has a distressed look, adding a chic twist to a classic design.
